Shell opened its China commercial centre in Shanghai on 3 June 2015 which sees the majority of its downstream businesses move to the country’s commercial hub. On the one hand, for the purpose of further opening the market to the world famous brand and encouraging them to set up their Asian center in China, the Chinese government makes the start-up procedure easier and easier. On the other hand, the consuming power of the Chinese is much stronger so that it is a good incentive for overseas high-rank consuming products to set up their subsidiary in China or at least have an online store.
